Michelle O’s ‘Healthy’ Food Crusade Makes LA School Children Sick

Michelle Obama lives high on the hog with hot wings, French fries, hamburgers, lobsters, pizza and all kinds of gooey chocolaty baked goods while prying open the jaws of school children pouring her utopian slop down their throats.
Michelle’s Let’s Move Campaign affects the nation’s 56 million students’ lunch menus; of course her own family is exempt. In an odd twist, even for progressive first families, the revolutionary new government sponsored menu introduced in the second-largest school district in the nation, Los Angeles, is causing kids to get sick, literally.
But Iraides Renteria and Mayra Gutierrez don't even bother to line up. Iraides said the school food previously made her throw up, and Mayra calls it "nasty, rotty stuff."
...Iraides says. "We're eating more junk food now than last year."
For many students, L.A. Unified's trailblazing introduction of healthful school lunches has been a flop. Earlier this year, the district got rid of chocolate and strawberry milk, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, nachos and other food high in fat, sugar and sodium. Instead, district chefs concocted such healthful alternatives as vegetarian curries and tamales, quinoa salads and pad Thai noodles.Principals report massive waste, with unopened milk cartons and uneaten entrees being thrown away. Students are ditching lunch, and some say they're suffering from headaches, stomach pains and even anemia. At many campuses, an underground market for chips, candy, fast-food burgers and other taboo fare is thriving.
"It's nasty, nasty," said Andre, a member of InnerCity Struggle, an East L.A. nonprofit working to improve school lunch access and quality. "No matter how healthy it is, if it's not appetizing, people won't eat it."
Among other complaints, Vanderbok said salads dated Oct. 7 were served Oct. 17. (Binkle said the dates indicate when the food is at its highest quality, not when it goes bad.On campus, even adults — including a Junior ROTC officer and an art teacher — have been found selling black market candy, chips and instant noodles to hungry students, she said.
Michelle Obama's multi-billion dollar anti-obesity program has led to junk food being sold on the black market by instructors and students alike. Get it? A government that attempts to dictate what we can eat doesn't care about expiration dates or watery noodles. Perhaps if the kids get sick enough they won't care what they eat. In the meantime one high-schooler compared the underground sale of comfort foods to Prohibition.
Kudos to the kids in L.A for rebelling against the dictator Kim Jong Michelle. America’s school children aren’t getting their fair share; no, the tyrant first-mother and family get to eat whatever they damn well please, but feed the rest of us tainted, rancid salads.
